Bar Grand Opening!

🎉 We’re thrilled to announce the grand opening of our outside bar, which will support subsidize and expand our arts programming! Starting off in August, we’ll be open every single Wed-Sat from 5-11pm (or afterwards). 🍸🍹🍷🍺

🎺 We’re marking the occasion with a absolutely free, grand opening celebration on Thu, Aug 4th which include jazz performances by Brandon Woody & Friends and tunes from DJ Ned Ryerson!

🍻 Joyful Hour: 5-7pm
💕 Toasts: 6pm

🎊 Even though Current Area has been in operation considering that 2004, the variety of events we have held each individual month was constrained by the amount of a person-working day licenses we could safe via partnerships with nonprofits or by operating with a caterer. Now, we’re in a position to fill our calendar with programming – including songs, exhibitions, workshops, an experimental trend demonstrate, drag, puppetry, performance art, poetry reading, and far more!

🙏 The new license was made as a result of condition laws – thank you to the 40th District Group with a exclusive thank you to State Senator Antonio Hayes! We’re also grateful to have gained a BGE Energizing Modest Business Grant hosted by Howdy Alice, which we put toward the expenditures of creating out and equipping their bar! At last, we’re constantly grateful to our volunteers, our users, and all of the awesome artists we are so fortunate to work with!
