Will Power Pays Homage to Hip-Hop Culture in Chilltown
For various weeks starting in late Could, Will Electricity brought his massive love of hip-hop and splendid capabilities to the 150-foot tunnel alongside New York and Ravine Avenues in Jersey Heights. Functioning in collaboration with mentioned hip-hop documentarians Ernie Paniccioli, T. Eric Monroe and David Corio, Will painted a momentous mural having to pay homage to 45 hip-hop icons and to the photographers who so brilliantly documented them.
Captured previously mentioned at the entry to the Hip-Hop Tunnel is the late legendary Tupac Shakur — based mostly on a image by T. Eric Monroe. Many close-ups from inside the tunnel comply with:
Snoop Dogg, closer up authentic photograph, the late Chi Modu
The late Significant L primary photograph: T. Eric Monroe
Slick Rick primary image, Ernie Paniccioli
Lauryn Hill unique photo, Ernie Paniccioli
Significant Daddy Kane first photo, David Corio
Rakim: first photo, David Corio
Sponsored by the Jersey Metropolis Mural Arts Software, the vastly impressive mural — witnessed by 1000’s daily as they travel in and out of Jersey Heights — is a spectacular tribute to hip-hop culture.
