Rockland gallery features art by Colby College graduate

Landing Gallery, 409 Primary St. in Rockland, has declared the opening of “Portraits of Location,” a solo exhibit of 38 new paintings by Sarah Faragher by way of Sunday, June 26.

Faragher is a 1990 graduate of Colby College or university. Her work was integrated in “Art of Acadia”  by David and Carl Minor. She was an artist-in-home at Acadia Countrywide Park and the Weir Farm Nationwide Historic Web page in Wilton, Connecticut, and has been invited lots of situations to take part in Artwork Week on Great Spruce Head Island, in accordance to a news launch from the gallery.

“As I search back again in excess of 20 many years of functioning with the landscape to make paintings with each other, I see that I have arrive to regard just about every spot as unique, belonging to alone. Timeless. This team of paintings encompasses my ongoing passions as a painter and human remaining: recognizing the sentience of the land and all items of mother nature, describing contrasts of shadow and radiance and the continuum between them, and experiencing the infinite cycle of everyday living and the seasons, as a totality,” Faragher explained.

The gallery is open from midday to 5 p.m. Thursday by Sunday.
