Palo Alto Art Center kicks off ‘RESTART’ exhibition with opening reception | News

The Palo Alto Artwork Centre is web hosting its first juried exhibition in above a ten years with art centered all around the theme of resilience, hope, and renewal. The exhibition opened on June 25.

The artwork heart aims for the exhibition, titled “RESTART,” to aid a spot to carry the group back again alongside one another in the wake of the pandemic. The showcase will exhibit the artwork of 44 Northern California artists whose perform was selected by the exhibition’s juror and Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Artwork curator, Patricia Hickson.

“What a delight it has been to serve as the juror for Palo Alto Art Center’s RESTART exhibition, which has reconnected me to the Bay Area’s distinctive up to date art scene given that doing the job at the San Jose Museum of Artwork 20 decades ago,” Hickson stated in a push launch. “In addition, the show’s appropriate and well timed topic — the transformative energy of artwork for the duration of tough instances — serves to illustrate humanity’s strength, relationship and engagement through the visual arts.”

To kick off the exhibition, the art centre is hosting an opening reception on July 1 with arms-on art ordeals and chances to fulfill the artists

The opening reception for RESTART can take put July 1, 6-8 p.m. at the Palo Alto Artwork Center, 1313 Newell Road, Palo Alto.
