Adorn your Feelings

Wichita Art Museum in the Wichita Area

Children’s Arts/Crafts

This month ArtVenture goes to the dogs! Bring your special companion (friendly and on a leash!) for some pet-friendly outdoor activities and stroll through the Art Garden. The fun happens outdoors with two art projects for pets and pet lovers.
The Wichita Children’s Theatre and Dance Center will take the stage to entertain and delight audiences with two performances, “Where the Wild Things Are” and “Sleeping Beauty.”
Enjoy live jazz by the Jonah Craker Quintet, part of WAM’s Taste of Jazz series with the Wichita Jazz Festival. Jonah Craker is a Wichita-based guitarist, originally from Grand Rapids, Michigan, who has performing experience in a wide variety of styles, including blues, rock, classical and gospel.
Are you looking for a new companion? The Kansas Humane Society will be on hand with a pet adoption station, pet-centric activities, and helpful information on caring for your special friend. Sorry, humans only inside the museum.
11 am to 3 pm | Artmaking and food trucks
11:30 am and 1 pm | Wichita Children’s Theatre and Dance Center performs “Where the Wild Things Are” and “Sleeping Beauty”
Noon and 1:30 pm | Taste of Jazz: The Jonah Craker Quintet
The day’s activities will be in the Living Room and outside in the Art Garden. Performances will take place in the Paula and Barry Downing Amphitheater
