Waynesboro music festival features bands, arts, food trucks
2 min readThe Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro’s Destination ARTS! will present a music and arts festival on Sunday, Sept. 5 from 1 to 7 p.m. at Main Street Park in Waynesboro.
Jammin’ in the Park features nine area musical acts playing throughout the day on two stages, including Lucky Punk, Mountain Air, Loose Screws, Big Whiskey, The Note Riders, Greg and Mare, G@g, Christian Harper and Sussman, Jankura & Hepfer.
“The groups will perform a wide variety of musical styles including classic and indie rock, Americana, folk, jazz, blues and many unique blends and mixtures,” said Jonathan Ingels, Music Makers committee member and event organizer.
The event is family-friendly, with free activities for kids and a variety of arts and crafts vendors.

“This is our second Jammin’ in the Park — the first was in 2019, and the event was cancelled in 2020 due to COVID,” Ingels said. “We hope to make this an annual event, providing a venue for all-day entertainment while spotlighting local talent in the arts here in downtown Waynesboro.”
Five food trucks — Pap’s Dog Stop, Carnival Concessions, Jimmy’s Famous Seafood, Creekview Food Company and Bubble Eats — will provide lunch or dinner options for sale in the park. In addition, those over 21 may purchase craft beer by Waynesboro’s Rough Edges Brewing.
The event is a fundraiser and all proceeds from admissions benefit the Arts Alliance of Greater Waynesboro. Admission is $10. Children age 12 and under are free.
Tickets are available online at www.artsalliancegw.org or at the door the day of the festival.
