Learn Ninjutsu – The Worst Thing About Online Ninja Training

2 min read

Are you interested in learning ninjutsu – the art of the ninja? I can certainly understand the attraction. After training in several martial arts and self-defense systems, once I discovered the art of ninjutsu, my world changed.

But, back in the early 1980’s, we only had three sources to get information about the art and it’s practice. They were…

1) Books – of which there were only a handful.

2) Magazine articles – the primary way that myself and my fellow students even knew that this art existed and that it had come to the West. And…

3) Seminar training – unless you were lucky enough to live near one of the two original dojo in America at the time.

Today, students looking to learn ninjutsu, have many options including the ones listed above. In addition to dojo and training groups that literally cover the world, those students who still don’t have access to the art in their local area, have turned to the internet in search of online ninja training.

And, while you can get a ton of information about the art, including videos and even some online courses, there is a problem with relying solely on this method. In fact, the worst thing about trying to learn ninja training online is the same problem that exists in learning anything.

Do you know that that is?

The worst thing about learning ninja training online is this…

Feedback.

The worst thing about learning ninjutsu through your computer – no matter how many ebooks or articles you read, no matter how many videos you watch, and regardless of what courses you take is…

The inability to get real-time feedback from the teacher.

With something like martial arts training, especially one with the depth and unconventional approach as that of ninjutsu, you will inevitably need to get with a mentor – a teacher who can show you the subtleties and secrets buried within the art.

Without this necessary piece of the puzzle toward attaining mastery in the Ninja’s arts, you will fall into the trap of translating what you read and see through your own personal filters, experience, and knowledge. And, the truth is that, you can only see what you know.

Without a master teacher of authentic ninja training, you will not be exposed to lessons that point to knowledge, perspectives, philosophies, strategies, and techniques which you don’t even know exists!
