JAMESTOWN — The Roger Tory Peterson Institute will host an opening reception for the Artwork that Issues to the Planet exhibition on Friday from 6 to 9 p.m.

“Art that Issues to the World is not your usual exhibition,” said Maria Ferguson, RTPI’s collections curator. “We invited every chosen artist to collaborate to generate an exhibition that best describes their artistic process.”

The artists with performs incorporated in this exhibition are: Could Babcock (Pawtucket, R.I.), Chautauqua County’s Sara Baker Michalak (Dunkirk), David Prepare dinner (Austin, Texas), Margaret Craig (San Antonio, Texas), Jeanne Filler Scott (Springfield, Ky), Katerie Gladdys and Doug Barrett (Gainesville, Fla.), Meredith Leich (Arlington, Mass.), Brandi Very long (Miami, Fla.), Michele Heather Pollock (Columbus, Ind.), Ivonne Portillo (Barcelona, Spain), Michelle Schwengel-Regala (Mililani, Hawaii), Anne-Katrin Spiess (New York Town), Dana Tyrrell (Niagara Falls, N.Y.), Amy Wendland (Durango, Colo.), and Suze Woolf (Seattle, Clean.).

“By taking into consideration both equally art and science, artists are able to imagine new approaches to elevate consciousness about environmental problems and form a far more sustainable future,” mentioned Arthur Pearson, CEO of RTPI.

The opening reception is cost-free for RTPI Museum Users and normal admission fees implement for non-associates.
